''This tee was inspired by Biscotte’s Varigated Yarn called Clafouti. I wanted to play with a varigated yarn and use it in a way that would really make the color stand out. This is a very engaging knit, with a 2 color Corrugated Ribbing knit in Stranded Colorwork. The neckline features a 2x2 ribbing with a little Short row shaping and an I-cord edge at the arm opening. There is no shaping at the body for a very relaxed fit and it is finished off with a 2x2 ribbed hem.'' -Andrea

Biscotte Yarns - 238m / 260yds / 90% superwash merino and 10% silk.

Sample is knit in:

– C1: 2 (2, 3, 3, 4, 4) skeins
– C2: 1 (2, 2, 3, 3, 4) skeins

NEEDLES

Main Fabric - 4.5mm (US#7) of at least 75 cm (30”) and preferred needles for small circumference knitting (or size needed to obtain gauge)
Ribbing – 4mm (US#6) of at least 75 cm (30”) and preferred needles for small circumference knitting

GAUGE:

26 stitches and 32 rows = 4 inches; 10 cm in Stockinette Stitch

NOTES:

This tee is knit top down starting with the back and then picking up stitches in the cast on edge of the back for the front. There is a little short row shaping for the neckline which is knit in 2x2 ribbing with an I-cord edging. The tee is joined to knit in the round after the front and back pieces are the desired length. The body is knit in 2 color corrugated ribbing and meant to be worn with 4- 6 inches of positive ease.
